Product Description

Application
 ASA Emulsifier is homogenized with AS sizing agent in emulsification unit, typically in polymer to ASA ratio 0.25:1  -  1,5:1,  which  leads  to  good  emulsion stability.  The cationic charge of the protective colloid is the primary retentive mechanism for the  ASA Emulsifier AS size emulsion particles.
 ASA Emulsifier,used in combination with  ASA Emulsifier AS sizing agents can provide excellent sizing results for different paper grades such as: fine  paper,  liner, corrugated  board  etc.  Polymer emulsification  with ASA Emulsifier  provides similar or better  hydrophobation  result  as  the conventional use of cationic starch at a much lower overall program cost.
The  low  polymer  to  ASA  ratio  achievable  with  ASA Emulsifier leads to lower BOD, reduced steam  usage, and can reduce the total  load on wastewater treatment.

The addition level of  ASA Emulsifier is typically lower than that of cationic starch  used for ASA emulsification.
